Congratulations to Denise Keenan!

Bayside and all our members would like to congratulate Denise who recently became a Grand Master!

Denise has been playing and enjoying bridge for around 20 years, you could even say “addicted” as she plays 4 or more times a week! Like many of our stronger payers she is a wonderful mentor, often times playing with our newer players and guiding them through some bidding or play. If you have a question Denise will very generously give her time and expertise.

Denise (right) is pictured here with her partner of 15years, Dawn Swabey. They recently won a local Red Point pairs event, beating some very tough opponents.

Well Done !

CONGRATULATIONS to Maurice Brumer and Team

You may have seen Maurice lately with a big smile on his face.
That’s because at the recent Gold Coast Congress, Maurice
and his Team made it to Table 1 to play against the Klinger team!!
Yes that’s right,  the Ron Klinger Team seated at table 1 because
they were the top ranked team!

The Brumer team ranked 40 out of 196 teams from Australia and beyond
(China had two teams entered) put their best foot forward.
At the end of the 14 board match they were the victors trouncing the Klinger team 33 to 8 (imps)!

The win placed them 2nd overall, their next draw against the eventual winners China Nangang!
Well done Maurice!
